CCEL Footnote 1940 (In-Text, Margin)

... secretly [4] and wisheth to be apparent. If thou doest this, shew thyself to the world. For [5] up to this time not even the brethren of Jesus believed on him. Jesus said unto them, My time till now has not arrived; but as for you, your time is alway ready. [6] It is not possible for the world to hate you; but me it hateth, for I bear witness [7] against it, that its deeds are evil. As for you, go ye up unto this feast: but I go [8] not up now to this feast; for my time has not yet been completed.[John 7:9] He said this, and remained behind in Galilee.

CCEL Footnote 3968 (In-Text, Margin)

... threw out were of envy. “Jesus answered them, My time is not yet come; but your time is alway ready. The world cannot hate you; but Me it hateth, because I testify of it that the works thereof are evil. Go ye up to this feast day. I go not up to this feast day, for My time is not yet accomplished.” Then follows the Evangelist; “When He had said these words, He Himself stayed in Galilee. But when His brethren were gone up, then went He also up to the feast day, not openly, but as it were in secret.”[John 7:9-10] Thus far is the extent of the difficulty, all the rest is clear.
