But what need is there to point out how agreeable to sound reason, and unattended with injury either to master or slave, was the law that one of the same faith should not be allowed to continue in slavery more than six years?[Jeremiah 34:14] The Jews, then, cannot be said to preserve their own law in the same points with the other nations.
